As world nations tremble and the mighty seas roar.
The Grand Alliance prepares for war.
Succes may bring fortune, to those who survived
The question is; do you want to be alive?

1688 was the year, when the Glorious Revolution took place
The reign of James II, destined to be erased.
With powerful allies watching his back.
William of Orange rose to the task

A new age of battle has begun.
Nine years of chaos, panic and disorder
Threatens the European border
Obsessed with himself and his army.
Louis XIV neglected his end of treaty (treaty of Nijmegen)
What had begun as a small urge to control more.
Ended as his longest war.

He tried to use King James. (James II, de oude koning van Engeland. Die door onze eigen Willem van z’n troon gestoten is)
Who was banished from his throne.
As a pawn to catch King William. (ook onze eigen Willem, maar die heeft zichzelf mooi tot koning van Engeland genoemd)
His feeble attempts, easily overthrown.

The conquest, to drive the French back.
Had raged on until negotiations were made.
Soon after the Nine Year War, when kings had passed away.

Louis XIV felt a bloodlust to defy The Grand Alliance once again.
